The Parisian townhouse of the richest man in France, whose wealth in that country is only superseded by the wealth of the L'Oréal heiress Liliane Bettencourt. As of March 2013 he is estimated at $29bn according to Forbes, and on November 20, 2013, Bloomberg estimates it at $32.5bn. For a long period of time this town house belonged to Jean-Luc Lagardère, the French businessman who founded the media conglomerate Lagardere Group,and who died in 2003. In 2005 his widow, Betty, sold the town house to Bernard Arnault, who made it his main Parisian residence.
