Khashoggi is a former Saudi Arabian arms dealer and business tycoon. At the peak of his career, in the 1980s, he was considered the richest man in the world. He was involved in the Iran–Contra affair and in the Lockheed bribery scandals as well as in several other major scandals which lead to his fall from grace. Subsequently his huge Marbella estate was confiscated, today the mansion is the clubhouse of "La Zagaleta", a luxurious private residential estate and country club.
