The TV host and media mogul owned this property until his death. He had planned on building a 58,000 sqft estate on the property. After Griffin's death, the property was sold to Herbalife founder, Mark Hughes, for $8.5M. Hughes planned to build a 43,000 sqft estate on the property, however, Hughes died before construction began. After Hughes' death, the property was sold for $24M to property developers Victorino Noval and Chip Dickens, however, they defaulted on the purchase agreement and the courts have reverted ownership back to Hughes' trust. Construction on the property is finally set to begin with 6 individual 40,000 sqft+ mansions as a community known as Vineyard Beverly Hills with each mansion selling for as much as $120M.
