The megastar who Newsweek called the most powerful actor in Hollywood, owned this Hawaiian home until late 2011.
He sold the property for $20 million to Russian fertilizer billionaire, Dmitri Rybolovlev, who in 2012 was the world's 119th wealthiest person with a net worth of $9.1 billion. Trusts associated with Rybolovlev also own a Palm Beach, Florida mansion which he purchased from Donald Trump for $95 million. In December 2011, Rybolovlev’s socialite daughter, Ekaterina, purchased a Central Park view penthouse at 15 Central Park West, the most expensive apartment to have been bought at that time in New York, for $88 million from Chairman and CEO Sandy Weill of Citigroup, the 3rd largest bank in the US. Ekaterina, who used the NYC apartment as a dorm while in school, was reported as the buyer of the Skorpios island in Greece, from Athina Onassis Roussel for $154 million.
In 2012, at the Lihue Airport on Kauai, Rybolovlev was served with a lawsuit regarding the NYC Apartment by a cunning process server who caught the oligarch while transferring from his helicopter to his private Airbus 319. Another of his toys is his 220ft motor yacht, My Anna.
