Vardinogiannis is a Greek oil tycoon, he's the Chairman and controlling shareholder of Motor Oil Hellas and Vegas Oil and Gas. His family also has extensive interests in television broadcasting, publishing, shipping, sports etc. His son, Giannis, is the majority owner of Greece soccer club Panathinaikos. His brother, shipping tycoon Yiorgos Vardinogiannis, owns the newly-built mansion next door.
