Yiorgos Vardinogiannis is a Greek shipping tycoon and former owner of the Panathinaikos soccer club. His family also has extensive interests in oil, television broadcasting, publishing etc. His nephew, Giannis, is the new majority owner of Panathinaikos. His brother, oil tycoon Vardis Vardinogiannis, owns the mansion next door.
