Koum is the co-founder and CEO of WhatsApp, the world's largest messaging app. The company is currently being taken over by Facebook which has made Koum one of the richest people in the US. As of October 2014, Forbes ranks him among the 75 richest Americans, worth an estimated $7.4 billion.
